Pattaya Beach has a veritable assortment of locales that range from those popular with boozy tourists and entrepreneurial working girls, to those appealing mainly to honest local folk just out for a good time with their pals. The soundtrack? All hail because here in Pattaya hip-pop and Thai hits reign supreme! Here's a selection:

Bub

A recent addition to Pattaya Dragon, Bub features both live hall (ground level) and a large party room (on upper level) for some heavy house and techno music. The majority of the crowd is young and hip locals. Bub sometimes hosts famous international DJ’s.

Candy Shop

At this snazzy open-fronted bar/club, Southeast Asian J-Los wriggle and writhe beside blingin' backpackers. Situated in the heart of Walking Street, Candy Shop plays good funky, soul, hip-pop and R&B tunes. The live band is raucous and fun.
Location: Walking Street, next door to Lucifer Disko TK.

Club Insomnia

Located on the second floor of i-Bar, Club Insomnia features stylish décor, an excellent sound and lighting system and a large dance floor and pool tables. Expect an occasional DJ event which will make the place a little more lively on Fridays, Saturdays, and Holidays.

Differ

A trendy nightspot with live music and DJ’s. The place gets packed with local teenagers and youngish adults as well as some tourists. Clubbers are recommended to get there early to get to get their own tables.

Fashion Club

Fashion Club is divided into two sections: Fashion Chic, a large music venue with live band playing both modern local and western songs. Another zone is Fashion Glamour, located on the left as you enter. It has a few coyote dancers and a few luxury sofas. The particularity of this place is to enjoy the cigar bar and shisha room alongside its other facilities.

Hollywood Disco

This is a typical Thai discotheque where locals and tourists meet. Open from 21:00 until late, bringing you some of the best music available. The place gets really packed and reaches its peaks around 23:00. It’s quite popular with the gay community.

Lucifer Disko TK

Sinful, sweaty hip hop fun. The big main room with underground cave-like décor, stalactites and devil faces resembles hell. However, if you like live hip hop blasting from speakers bigger than many of the girls who flock here, this might just be heaven. Double charges for westerners (drinks), but free entry.
Location: near Soi Diamond on Walking Street, South Pattaya

Marine Disco

An old established disco from way back. Heats up about 01:00. Several other 'Marine Discos operate inside Marine Plaza on Walking Street, open until early morning hours.

NAB Men Club

This lively and friendly atmosphere nightclub is popular with ‘men-for-men’ crowd. This two-storey features attractive and inviting decorations and seating. It has a lot of large muscle men coyote dancers. Upstairs has a shower cubical and with regular shower shows. NAB play good clubbing music with awesome lighting. It gets busy every night, especially after midnight. This is a fun late night venue and worth a visit.

Tony’s Entertainment Complex

A famous and rather flashy albino discotheque where everything from walls and stools to sofas is white. Tourists and off-duty bar girls cavort to live rock, pop and hip-hop, alongside DJ’s.

X-Zyte

More an arena than a nightclub; its vast dark interior features a giant stage with huge screens on either side. Flamboyant stage spectaculars, live Thai songs and pyrotechnics later make way for coyote girl dancers, a few boys, and DJ’s spun hip-hop and hits. Entry fee is 300 baht and includes a drink.
