So, what have you been missing out? Nothing life-changing, really, but perhaps a handful of odd facts about the world you live in. A lot of the exhibits focus on things you least expect to see, which have made the museum famous in the first place, such as a mask made from human skin, real shrunken human head, primitive torture devices and a wax figure of a four-eyed man, among others. Some are actual items, while others are replicas.

But odd is not the only thing you will find at the museum. The exhibits extend to curious facts and inventions, such as a Titanic made of more than one million matchsticks and a model of the 1937 Jaguar that’s actually a motorboat. Apart from the museum, other attractions at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! include The Infinity Maze, Ripley’s 4D Moving Theatre, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure and Tussauds Wax Museum. You can easily spend an entire day here and leave with fascinating tales to pass on to friends and family back home.

A Short Story of Robert Leroy Ripley

Ripley’s life story is as incredible as the collections inside the museum. A self-taught artist, Ripley travelled the world and, as a personal hobby, documented all oddities he witnessed along the way. His life-long passion for travel and adventures landed him in many parts of the world, whether Europe, Central America, South America and Asia, where he felt most at home in China.

As he travelled, he documented every curious things and creatures he saw. Using his artistic talent, he drew them as cartoons and published them in a series of cartoon panels under the title “Believe it or Not!”, which later grew into radio and television shows. At the height of his career, his cartoon series had an estimated readership of 80 million.
